BTIS - Bottle Thread Inspection System

This vision system performs automated inspection without touching the bottle (i.e. non-contact). An environmentally-sealed stainless-steel enclosure houses the system. This system fits over the existing production line (with minimal modifications to the conveyor hardware). The production bottles are inspected as they move freely down the line. If this system shuts down, the bottling line continues to operate.

The system detects flaws smaller than 1 mm2 on production lines operating at rates of up to 1500 bottles per minute (i.e. 25 bottles/second).

It can be adjusted to match the production inspection requirements such as:

• The allowable defect size.
• The maximum number of consecutive rejects.
• The number of rejects in a given time period.
• The number of rejects out of a specified number of inspected bottles.
• Configure the system to automatically adjust the reject criteria; this helps maintain a
